I am new to HTML and CSS and anything to do with handling a website I built with my own hands and there is no way I would be where I am without the help and knowledge of other people. I hope this will help others the same way it helped me. In no particular order:
Guidance
- "Intro to the Web Revival #1: What is the Web Revival?" by Melon - The first of three pages about the web revival. I don't remember when I first became interested in building my own website, or even aware that there was a smaller, slower, but still very much alive web away from social media, but this was one of the earliest things I can remember coming across that actually set me on the path of finally doing it. I recommend it to anyone curious but apprehensive about starting out. It may take time, but it's not as daunting as it may seem!
- W3Schools - I've linked directly to the HTML Tutorial because it's what I've been learning from the most, but W3Schools has in-depth guides on a lot of different coding languages and subjects
- rmf's html colour table - There are helpful things here in general, but I especially appreciate the table
- sadgrl.online - A collection of guides and resources about creating a website, including a guide on HTML and CSS on the site itself
quite literally would not be here without neocities
